Way to go dealership.

$300 for part and $200 for install of passenger front door actuator.

I think I'll buy the part for $180 and installed for $95 locally.

Yes, I'm super lazy to try the $5 fix. Is that wrong? Someone knock some sense into me.

You can find the part for $180 at a some dealerships. It takes about an hour to install with the information from here:

///5330

Its not hard at all..but make sure you have the correct size star bit. I tried the $5 fix even before Jeff...mine failed...his is working great.

Just do it right and get the OEM part.

So Ed, are you going to do the $5 fix? Maybe we can all do the fix coming up soon?

No, going to buy a $165 actuator and bribe handy_andy to do the install. Maybe bribe him with some Korean BBQ and Soju. Maybe a 65 day dry aged steak to do the transgo install too=)

but seriously, I'm going to stick OEM just because I know it'll last me a while. You just have to take off the door panel and swap, so takes 2 seconds.

ebay has some of them but parts.com is cheaper. it's cheaper than infinitipartsusa.com too.

Just checked parts.com and there are different prices for the parts? Like $162 for one side and then $178 for another side w/o navigation it says. Does the with or w/o nav even matter? This is the copied and pasted item: Electrical, Body electrical, Front door, Lock actuator, Lock actuator, fx, right

Navi/no-navi matters (on drivers side door). It's because if you have the i-Key or not. They really should say tech package instead.

Left and right are different actuators,.they look completely different. Drivers side door being more expensive.

Hope that helps.

Okay, thanks. So the parts are door specific then. You think a silly actuator would be the same for all four doors? :confused.:

that's how infiniti gets you -- the actuator is housed in the door lock. Jeff's $5 fix is fixing just the actuator. If you want to go OEM, you have to do the whole thing =(

Seriously, this is the third time ordering this part because everyone canceled it as they don't sell it, but it's listed on their online catalog.

http://www.discountinfinitiparts.com/ was $4.96 cheaper than InfinitPartsusa.com

Hopefully this is my FINAL time ordering this part.

Sweet. I've been looking for a good price for my liftgate actuator. Cheapest I found so far was at orderinfinitparts.com. Found a local guy to do it for $75!
