Pain the butt ?

hey guys, im in the process of upgrading my sound system to 2 12" Fi BL subs, in a 5-6cubic foot box in the cargo area. I plan on keepin gmy stock navi and headunit and use a converter to help get the good quality sound.

My problem is, i've heard poeple say that wiring infinitis are a pain in the ass. Is this true? is there a few things i should let my installer know about wiiring our FX's? he quoted me 1000 $ JUST to wire the car :S please help guys. I drive the 09 FX35.

Wow nice set of subs...those will hit hard! Are you on caraudio.com too?

Do you have BOSE? I don't think anyone's done an 09 yet. So, saying what wires to tap into would be misleading.

not hard just time consuming. Basically taping into 3 wires, running power to the battery and another for ground. Unless you plan to replace the stock amp running the door and dash speakers..that is a lot harder.

thanks! ya i've been doing alot of research and i narrowed it down to the Fi Q's and the BL's and decided on the BLs. No im not on caraudio.com but i am on realmofexcusion.com. I wont be replacing the speakers and stock amp as of yet. Just going to start with the subs. Yea the 09 came with bose. I was blown away when i got quoted 1000 dollars JUST to wire. :S

I'm waiting for the new Stereo Integrity BM's. Seems like they're taking forever to come out. Trying to keep as much room as possible and stay sealed. SI BM 12" only need .5cu and only 3.5" high!

"1000 to just wire" is still high..... even if he was doing both amps....if it's just tapping off the rear amp...it's not that hard.
What amp are you going with?

im not sure what amp im going to be using.. i have a RF power 1000.2bd right now from my old system but im definately going to need another . or just get 1 big one.

as for the big 3.. where can i get a new alternator, and how much are they usually. what else is apart of the big 3 again.. alt.. battery, and wire? im running zero gage for the amp.

im planning on doing 5-6 cubic feet ported.. i just need measurements for the cargo area so i can get the box designed.. you woudlnt happen to know it would you? lol
