Hello gents.I have a 05 FX45 and the service engine light has just come on and the car seems to be being held back upon acceleration. car idles fine and drives smooth. I turned the car off and let sit for a few minutes. Restarted the car and the light was out and as able to accelerate as usual. About 5 minutes later I hear a little thump and the light comes on and it returns back to the sluggishness. When I manually shift the tach is inconsistent and not shifting properly. Feels like it is pulling off in 3rd or 4th gear and not cycling all the gears. Took it to Autozone for a code definition and it came back "P1759, front brake solenoid valve function, Open or short circuit condition, ATF pressure switch." Any ideas thanks.

Here is a pic of the harness that you can take a quick peek at. A bad connection can cause that code too.

Hey, I got ur PM. I'm no tranny expert but initially my recommendation would be the same as what la_fx35 posted. You mentioned the tranny fluid being low, have you had it flushed lately?

Yes is was flushed recently. Been asking around different tranny shops and its boiling down to the computer in the VB is fried. But I will also check the harness connector to.

Did you get an answer from GRATED, the guy in Canada with a blown VK engine to see if he willing to part with his valve body? Get the VB out yourself and get it to service should not be to bad on the repair.

Yes we have been talking. I'm not sure how much this VB should be. I cant find any info on the weight of the VB to see how much shipping would cost. Im on the east coast in Philly, and taking a trip up there is not possible at the time. Hey Andy, looking at your schematic above, I see that the TCM houses the ATF PRESSURE SWITCH 1. Can they be replaced by taking them off the VB?? or are they a permanent part of the VB??

Not sure on the FX, but the VB on the Titan has to match every option on the truck. Like, floor shifter, VDC, Gear ratio, Etc, or the tranny will not shift and go in to limp mode.

Nissan sent out a TBS that stated NOT TO FLUSH the tranny, the flush most likely broke loose some of the false seals and this is what killed the Silonoid that your getting the code from. I know a new VB for the Titan's A5 is $1800 new.

Thanks TitanSS. I never flushed it, just dumped the old fluid and put new in. After extensive research on the web, I found out that the best thing to do is get a new VB. Thats the route Im going.

Hey guys, its the newbie again. Well I finally got the problem on my FX taken care of. Turns out it was the one or more solenoids went bad. Talked with infinitipartsusa and was able to purchase a new VB for just over $1000. Shopped around and found a quality Transmission pro shop, who removed the old VB, installed a new filter kit, cherry juice, and installed new VB all for under $300. I am happy to report that with the new VB my FX drives perfectly. Thanks for all you guys help.

So, no programming needed. That's awesome. You didn't get the Transgo Shift kit and have them do while they at it? :smile (2):

To my surprise no programming was needed. Simple plug and play. I guess that was because I ordered it using my VIN. I didn't think to get the shift kit. I was given the run around a few times regarding installation and I guess frustration clouded my thoughts. I will upgrade to one a little later. Right now I'm just enjoying my FX.
