Overhead console removal help...

Im trying to get to the antenna on the front of the roof. (Wana remove it) Im hearing that i have to pull the overhead console out. Anyone know how to remove it? Tricks-tips???

From the FSM, the overhead console is held in place by metal clips and velcro. Check this post out for diagram from FSM. Hope it helps ya.

I decided on painting my headliner so I had to pull the whole thing out and was able to remove the console in the comfort of my living room. I still ended up breaking all the plastic tabs securing the console to the liner but like Turbo said in another post someplace you don't really need them. It will stay up on it's own even with a bunch of vibrating and shaking while driving it stays secure.
I removed my antenna but keep in mind that if you live in mountainous areas where reception is less than perfect then you may not be too happy with radio performance. I quit listening to radio all together now because of my lack of reception(but I do drive over a mountain everyday)

no hard remove the pillars and get a good grip n pull down there are velcro that holds it up just need to know where they are located. do a search it is available as someone posted it before ? headliner removal)
