Our new FX35 (2003)

Location
PNW
Well,
Here she is. We bought the vehicle we test-drove (it's the wife's D.D.). I'm itching to drive it all day long - and have been. What a great riding/feeling/smelling/fun car. Very smooth, feels solid - every part of it feels solid - down to the door handles. I'm a truck guy, and I'm not used to something like this at all....LOL...
Anyway, here she is - (I know you all know what a plain ole' FX35 looks like - but I have pictures anyway - LOL)

2003 FX35 with 75K on the odo.
Sport package (is that right - with the 20's?)
Purchased for $15.5 - which was very, very low for our area. So we have $3K in savings that will be kept in savings in case something goes wrong with it....LOL....
I wish I had before pics - it was pretty dirty inside. I spent a good 1/2 day on the interior - which helped A LOT. It smells new/clean. :) I have more things coming from chemical guys - so it's not done. :)
I was happy that the previous owner tinted the front windows!
(sorry about the pics - I didn't have time during the day, so they are night pics)

(Yes - car seat installed - LOL... and if anyone has any suggestions on what protection to use so we don't damage the seat - that would be great!)

If anyone has any suggestions on affordable floor mats - let me know.
I have always used "WeatherTech" because they seem to be the best form-fitting, and have always covered the most area properly. Dam they are expensive though.

Oh - Also - I called a local wrap/tint shop - and got a quote for Vinyl-Wrapping the grill and door handles (should be under $200 he said) in the body-color.
Has anyone wrapped the rear 2 long trim pieces, and the Infiniti logo on the rear hatch?
I plan on removing the "FX35" emblem on the rear as well.
I can't stand chrome. :)
I was also thinking of paint the wheels a darker gray - still trying to convince the wife though...LOL does anyone know if there is a pic of a stock FX35 with the stock 20's - but painted darker? (so I can show the wife)
I looked EVERYWHERE on here, and google - I can't find anything. Many other black wheels - but not the stock 20's painted.

welcome to :iS:15k thats awesome... clean interior.

$$$ for the wrap sounds ok... removing the emblem in the rear will leave you with a tiny hole, read that somewhere on SCENE.

as for the color its a DG... check link for color codes

Thanks for the color link!

Thanks for making feel better about the purchase! LOL...
Yea, I read where the tan/wheat interior was hard to keep clean - but we keep our vehicles pretty clean - so it shouldn't be a problem.
I wasn't planning on leaving the Infiniti emblem off - just wrapping or painting.
I still have to go over it mechanically - and change belts/brake pads/ect if needed.

Is there a discount on-line Infiniti parts supplier?

On TTORA - (Toyota Forum) we have TRDparts4u.com which has all Toyota parts discounted by like 20% if you are a TTORA member. It helps a lot.
Thanks!!
Trevor
