Opinion (Spacers vs Wider Tires)

I have a 2017 LE with the stock 21s. Need tires and considering 285/40s with 10/20 spacers, or 295/40s with no spacers......which would you choose?

Also, would there be any rubbing issues with 285/40 and 10/20 spacers?

I considered spacers for my stock 18's but got stock GTR wheels- running 265/35/20 in front and 275/35/20 on rears. At least with wider tires, the rim is directly connected.. good spacer companies should cause you no worries but personally I'm happier not using spacers- and they all look flush now as well

Id say dont let it bother you either way. I've run spacers on all four wheels, no spacers and spacers on only 2 wheels. My car has a lot more power than stock and has been to the track three times without any issues at all concerning wheels & spacers. Given the choice, I'd prefer to have wheels that fit without spacers and look exactly like I want.

No rubbing issues with 285's. I am running 295/40's on stock 21's and all is fine.
