I take delivery of our 40k miles '06 FX45 in a few days. Here are a few noob-type questions, thanks in advance!
1) I live in large metro area but there are only 2 Infiniti dealers. They are both on the opposite side of town, around 30-45 minutes away. Do Nissan dealers service Infiniti's? My local Firestone is pretty darn good. I've had my 3 vehicles serviced there for all sorts of things and I've been very happy with them. Is there any reason I couldn't use Firestone for routine maintenance type things like fluid changes, brakes, etc.? Electrical or warranty issues would still have to go through the dealer of course..
2) We'll be taking the FX45 on a road-trip in 2 weeks. We'll be towing my boat so I think I will err on the side of hyper-maintenance and get all the fluids changed. Does the tranny and/or diff require anything other than factory spec fluids? Or maybe the manual specifies upgraded/heavy duty fluids for towing applications... (I can't check into this until I get the manual...)
3) Total noob question here. What tuning solutions are there for the FX45? If I added one bolt-on for power, what would it be and what would be the expected whp gain? My other 3 vehicles are pretty modified and I'll probably be keeping the FX45 pretty close to stock.
