Noob, but lurker

Car
2004 FX35. 2005 FX35. 2009 FX50s.
As the title states, I'm relatively new here, but I've been hovering for a bit. I recently picked up a 2004 fx35 with 81K miles, and I believe it has the tech package and I was told it has the sport package, but I'm not convinced. (It has 18" wheels)

i wanted to to get some feedback on the info I have gathered. My car is 2wd and therefor has no rear sway bar.

1. I have been looking for a rear sway, but don't see many options. Junk yard perhaps?
2. Handling improvements- STB seems like step one? I'd consider H&R springs as they seem to be the most popular? I'm not ready for coil overs at this point.
3. I've read a few write-ups on boosting the stock sub with a small mono amp- any long term side effects?
4. Door locks- when they start to fail, is it intermittent? Seems like the cheap ebay parts are prone to failure. Are the replacement OEM any better?
5. How do I control my urge to install a supercharger? :bulgy-eyes:
6. Is VDC similar to traction control in other makes?

Thanks to all those who came before me and built this community.

1. Gt Spec makes a lot of good braces for our FX. Not sure what they have in stock now
2. Gt Spec stb made a difference in my FX's handling. h&r's will be a big help as well
3. As long as you don't go over the power handling of the stock sub, shouldn't be any long term effects. Aftermarket sub and amp provide best results
4. Not sure about door locks as i haven't had any issues with mine
5. Don't fight the urge but i hear a turbo is better. Bolt ons add up and don't provide adequate hp gains
6. vdc is our traction control

Welcome!
tee's answers are pretty much right on the money.

2) STB is quick, easy, and affordable. If I were to do anything to the suspension (which I have no plans to) I would go straight to coilovers.
4) When door locks start to go it is intermittent and seems to reflective of direct heat (at least for me). Mine only trip up when it is blazing hot and the sunny side of the parked car is the side that fails. I have not heard of any quality difference between OEM and aftermarket actuators. I am a little weary of refurbished ones though.
