hello everyone.. i will most likely <nothing is certain in this world> be getting an fx35 soon.. my mom bought a silver 2004 infiniti fx35 a while ago and ill probably take it off her hands soon.. my background is so messed up so i was getting insurance quotes for either a 1994 supra turbo or a 1997 acura nsx and lets just say when youre 25 with a criminal background and 2 DUIs and 9 speeding tickets the insurance for a supra or NSX is so f'ing insane i could not afford it.. my reckless days i hope are over.. so that is how i came onto the FX world.. by force really..
i never really paid attention to my moms car before.. i always hated SUVs.. my favorite cars have been 1) 97 acura NSX 2) 94 toyota supra 3) 91 nissan 300zx TT 4) 93 mazda rx7 5) mistubishi 3000GT VR-4.. oh and i love clean cars.. no loser stickers.. just a clean slick black "murdered" out lowered <eibach> nsx gets me everytime.. so i always hated SUVs.. but i drove my moms car for the first time last weekend.. just got my license back after long suspension.. and i was impressed.. i asked my mom is this rwd or awd?? she didnt even know.. im almost 99% sure its awd from the the feel when i accelerate.. anyway i can tell 100% whether its a rwd or awd?? is there a mode that can disable the awd?? i like rwd better.. i cant find her manual anywhere in the house..
in college i had a acura integra typeR.. it was phoenix black.. so i am not new to the tuning world.. man that car was awesome.. handled so crazy.. i put some eibach springs on it.. and a AEM intake.. thats it.. nothing else.. typeRs are pretty much perfect stock so i didnt do anything other than that.. and tints..
my moms FX already has navi and tints so i was thinking about putting a tv tuner in it..
the list of mods i wanted to do is:
1)air intake (i take it the stillen one isnt cold air drawing from the bottom??)
2)z tube
3)spacer
4)pulley
but before that i wanna make it look crazy..
1)eibach prokit springs
2)strut bar <i love cars that handle like slot cars>
3)20inch gunmetal momos
4)blacked out tail lights
yeah i never thought the FX was that great a looking car but i have been paying more attention to it lately.. i think the fx lowered with 20 inch gunmetal momos and LP tires would look crazy.. i wanted to buy a sports car but this will have to do.. instead i hope to buy my mom a car.. i was thinking about getting her the new BMW 330ci coupe.. or maybe the jaguar XK if i make more moeny.. anything two door for me and the insurance is so insane i weep.. i literaly weep..
anyway im pretty sure its awd but how do i tell if its awd or rwd?? and does this car have paddle shift or anything?? i told my mom to find the car manual as fast as possible but she cant find it.. damn the FX really is sweet.. to think.. she almost bought a lexus RX back then.. i hate that car.. the FX can be turned into a slot car demon.. the RX never!! my dad has a 2005 lexus LS430 and thats probably why i never paid attention to my moms car.. i always took his car out on joy rides.. now that car the LS is a freaking beast.. i hate all lexus except the LS.. LS rules.. but yeahi think the FX is the only SUV you can lower and tune and make it sick as hell.. any other SUV is worthless..
