I’m over the hill and on the downslope and lucky to have found a new winter home in Mexico. The roads and driving is much different from my hometown of Huntsville Ontario Canada. Roads up there are well maintained and driving my 968 and 987 Porsches are a delight. Roads here along the pacific coast of Mexico are unpredictably maintained twisties with an assortment of vehicles but beg to be driven. I looked long and hard for the right car for these roads and my choice is the 2010 EX35. I’m comfortable wrenching on cars and wanted something that wouldn’t be too conspicuous but at the same time have the performance I want. Reliability and comfort are both important and that’s where the Infiniti 3.5 engine and transmission and the cabin scored very high. My plan is to make the drive twice a year along with my dog and I needed a vehicle that easily swallows the miles. Again the EX35 shines. So that’s me and my journey in a nutshell and I’m hoping to learn more about my ride from forum members.

Welcome! Did you drive your EX down to MX from Ontario? How long a drive was it?

Welcome! Did you drive your EX down to MX from Ontario? How long a drive was it?

Its a 4400 km drive so best do it over several days with lots of stops along the way. Roughly 2 days to Kansas City, and then a long day drive to Dallas/Ft Worth. From there to Laredo and over the Border and on to Monterrey, that’s a 2 day drive. From there on to Guadalajara and finally a quaint little drinking village with a fishing problem. So 6 days taking it easy, but not sightseeing either.
