Hi all from the "IZ" Baghdad

Looking to order some new wheels for my 08 Fx. I know there are many many many threads on this. I have narrowed it down to Iforged 22x10 35mm offset 4" lip rear/ 3 1/2" front on Iforged clasic polished lip with gunmetal center or the Seneka or same specs on a DPE s20 gunmetal. the BBK kit os going to be Ksport 14" rotors. Anybody see a issue with this? or have any advice? Im looking to order this through D2 Autosport.com.
The last months I have ordered the H&R spring set/ Invidia Exhaust/ ISO spacer/ Full GTspec braces.
All sitting at my uncle's house in Arizona. He will get it all put on for me!

after wheels/ tires come intake. looking to get a cold air intake system. Was looking at a SC but costs to much and to many was it can go wrong.

Any tips on tires im looking into some Hankook (VENTUS V12 evo) good lip protection? Im not into track and such. Just normal city driving and Freeway/ back roads highway crusing.

thanks for the help. ooya on my return on my 30 day holiday going to drive from El Paso to Arizona see family then LA-San Fran.- Fresno- Vegas- El Paso

See you all then :laugh::wub: ps i would post pistures but it takes over a hour to upload here, SORRY:frown:

Sounds like you have everything set for your FX. It's going to look really good. Can't wait to see pics.

Not sure if the offset will work with your BBK. Really you can go with iForged custom, they will custom set the wheels for you. They figure out the spacing, lip, etc based on your set-up. The OEM wheel offset is +38, but the spokes of the OEM are different from the spokes of other wheels. iForged would ask for the type of BBK and look up the specifications to make sure your particular set-up works.

If you don't get custom and just match the bolt pattern & bore, the worst thing that could happen would be the wheels don't clear the calipers and that can at least be solved with a spacer.

if you do order through iforged good luck, I custom ordered my wheels through iforged & specified the bbk I'd be using as the akebono fx50s/g37s & guess what, they STILL touched the calipers

So what happend? Did iForged take back the wheels and refund your payment?

San Fran

Sorry Stu no date yet.:frown: Were due to return in March sometime so I figure around April time frame. Yep Ill have the FX sporting my new goodies:laugh:. Planning on taking the 101 along the coast. We get 30 days leave (holiday) on return back from deployments. Going to see some family in Arizona/ Califorina. Also April things wont be too hot yet and I-10 not full of tourists. The FX is at lake Havesu now being taken care of. Being driven 1-2 times a week, before i left I got the Car cover that is made for the FX. My uncle says it works great. Plus she is kept under cover!
Better than the Army was going to keep it, in a grass/ rock field in the open. I was not going to pay to have my FX in storage.

Ok cool, I should be here around then. Not sure with spring break is though.
I have a friend over there who's a gunner in a MRAP, but I asked about you and he didn't recognize your name or anything.

Turbo - would you list the wheel specs? Weight, offset, caliper clearance? Does your rim come out to the fender (like stockers with 25mm spacers)? Which iforged model?

my wheels are the only directional design iforged makes, there called variant. 22x11 rear with +48 offset, fronts are 22x9.5 & +32 offset. I had intention of lowering a lot so I stayed a bit conservative on the offset so they can tuck, which they do. if you look at the picture I have up on the homepage in the rotm rotation this month it shows very good how flush they are... rears winded up coming to completely flush as much as possible & still tuck, but I altered the rear suspension gometry a bit & altered the upper rear control arm mounting location so that brung the top of the wheel out a bit to correct camber & the camber curve as opposed to other wheel alignment solutions which would have brung the bottom in to correct camber at this drop, but done nothing to correct the camber curve problem you'd have at this drop... if your not going to go super low then the rears could have been +40 or so & the fronts could have been ~+25 for the completely flush look, but then would rub instead of tuck if you went pretty low

a lot more info on the wheels & my saga with iforged in my thread : ///986
