Hey all,

I recently purchased a 2006 45-Sheer platinum metallic/graphite. Great car and I am really enjoying the ride. My H&R springs and a Stillen STB arrived yesterday and I am planning on installing them next week. This may be a stupid question but by installing the springs do I sacrifice my warranty?

Thanks in advance for your input.

US Code - Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312:
Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)).

Welcome to IS!

Looks like you are one of the lucky ones to get the H&Rs! share with the other members where they can find a set.

Welcome!! You should be fine installing the H&R's. I don't think anybody has had an issue with warranty being voided over installing non-oem springs.

Hey-I've got to say this is a pretty slick experience for me, I've had a number of sports cars and for some time I have wanted the sports functionality of a Cayenne or X5. Test drove the hell out of them, got the chance to race the X5 4.8 and after comparing them to the Infiniti I settled in on the FX45. I THEN researched what model and year I wanted and tracked modifications riders had made. Along the way I read all the threads and connected with Dr. 2K and crew (third party never logged in). Nice support system and it makes me believe I purchased the right car, I also dig the relationship between the 35 and 45 owners, seamless and friendly, the way it should be.......SO I found a pretty sweet deal on the H&R spring set at ALLSPRINGS.COM $252.85 for the set Shipping $12.96 no tax Order Total $265.81

Factors on the cars varied but simply put the Cayenne Turbo was WAY over priced, the Cayenne S seemed go be working too hard (compared to the FX) PLUS after taking a hard look at the Cayenne I think the design factor never really came together for Porsche on their SUV. The BMW was just too big, I like the look but I didn't need all the space. I had a FJ80 Landcruiser I had pumped a ton of cash into it was really well done but I just got tired of the size...Overall my purchasing decision came down to the look and the driving experience. The BMW was pretty sweet with regards to power and performance. ...I purchased the 45 with the thought that the development trickle down effect will kick in and performance MODs will become available (like all the great gear you have for your ride) Not concerned with dropping the cash just don't want to waste money on crappy power mods.......

I had a jerk in a porsche cayenne cut me off last friday so I returned the favor when I got a chance. He spent the rest of the drive trying to pass me. They do look nice but they are over priced. Besides, the FX is way sexier looking. I like the BMW X5 also but to me it seems to top heavy.

I'd say you made the right choice:tup:
