New to me 08 FX35

just bought my first infinity, 2008 FX35. i have many questions for everyone but all in good time. i have lurked here for about a week and decided i needed to become a member, there is so much helpful info from all of the members. i do have one initial question: what is the best mod to increase my fuel mileage? not that i bought this with 30mph in mind but i would like to get closer to 22-23, is it possble?

Welcome to :iS:
A RWD, you can easily get 18-19 city if you ease up on the accelerator and 23-24 with highway speed of 65mph. All the mods that I have done, I have not really notice a big decrease/increase on fuel mileage.

Welcome to iS! The best way to increase fuel consumption IMO with the FX would be to save your money and not accelerate to hard from a stop or in stop/go traffic (hard to do I know, lol) and on the highway don't go over 65mph. You can perhaps do the K&N air filter change to help the engine breath better.

keeping my foot out of it has been an issue, only had it a week. i hope to see it that high, i drive 70 miles round trip most of it highway driving. thanks for the replies.

Welcome to the site and congratulations.

Oh, and it is spelled INFINITI :wink (2):

Hah, didn't realize I had a dialog box to work with, been waiting hours to communicate then I see Wayne going off about the spelling of Infiniti :) are you willing to spend any thing to gain a little? The good Dr. Is right about lightening up on the long pedal, but I experienced gains on my 45 when I did the intake, exhaust, (do a single outlet not true dual, keep the back pressure) e-fan conversion then the tune. You don't need the E-fan as you already have one but the other three mods for $1500-$1700 should net you power and efficiencies leading to better MPG. You will however still have"fat foot syndrome" which does wear off in time. Whoa oh black betty bam a dam.....welcome to is!

Auto correct is great until you type infiniti. I have already ordered the Z tube kit from stillen and will attack the exhaust once I can get the buy in from my wife. Thanks again all.
