S,up erone....... inever thought I woulg get sucked into the sports car upgrade again...but anyway..its good to be back in it again.....I see alot of nice rides in here.


I have an FX45....2005
I had an FX45 2003 but traded it in for the 2005 version....I now have over 115,000 miles and its going strong.... I just started with my first purchase of aftermarket part, KYB shocks....its a shame that tehy do not make great coilovers for this beast. I put tein on my previous beast Mitsu GS-x....

I also just ordered the Invidia exhasut and GTspec tower brace...... I cant wait to see what difference that will make on my ride...


I am looking to make it even more stiffer,since i drive a lot. I want the ride to be very comfortable and I dont mind a stiff ride....

QUESTION: what parts are there that i can get and will make a difference in my ride....

H&R and Eibachs lowering springs will both lower your car. I heard that Eibachs were stiffer than H&R's but many members have had positive experiences with both

Also very popular with the crowd are the GTSPEC braces they have for the FX from stb's to braces under the car. People say that these dramatically improve handling

i would go with the springs first if money is a concern, since you have to install new struts anyways. might as well get them both done at the same once :)

Welcome to the forum! As far as performance the Invidia Gemini is a great start, combine it with a JWT pop charger (buy it directly from Jim Wolfe technologies and you will save some cash) and the +2 timing advance. Add in a Technosquare re-flash and you'll see some nice gains.

On the suspension side lowering springs and and STB is a great start. Check out some of the write ups on the GT-Spec products if you want to go further with your suspension.
 
Thank you for the welcome and the advice...Pman thats a lot of tips. I already put the KYB's on yesterday...but its a shame that i did not join sooner.....Anyway. I am going to order the springs now... I have already ordered invidia Q300 exhaust and GTspec Strut Tower Bar.......I know the type of result to expect but I am not sure if it is worth adding any lower braces and which ones...I dont want to add anything just because its made.......I want to feel some substantial results so which of the lower braces do you think will make a difference....what do y'all think.

I just bought my GTSPEC 4point and front lower tie bar.... there are members here that swear that it made the most difference. (see classified section for a good deal).

also you cant get a plenum spacer since you have a 45. so an modified intake will be you best bet.

oh, the best mod yet is the "iS sticker" :wink:

yeah i read about that i hope to be there if I am not on the road to Md....I will seiriously try to get there it should be exciting.
