Hi. I wanted to welcome myself to the community. I am currently the owner of a 1st gen FX35. It was purchased as not running with a timing chain issue. I am hoping to have it up and running soon with a set of low mileage, freshly refurbished cylinder heads, Tomei head gaskets, ARP head studs, and a new set of chains, gears, tensioners and pistol gaskets. I'm also likely going to put a set of Stillen headers on it, a plenum spacer and an exhaust to try and get a performance bump.
I have previously worked in service for a local Infiniti dealer and have always had a fondness of the late 90s through early to mid 2000 Infinitis. This was really the pinnacle of Infiniti and Nissan, as cars were well thought out and well made. The FX, in particular, was well ahead of it's time. I was working in service at an Infiniti dealer when the QX70 was discontinued. It was very sad as it signaled the end of an era to me. I'm starting to see a slow resurgence in the brands and hope it continues.
Thanks for reading.
