There is a discussion at the other forum about negative impact on changing the EX wheels to 20's.

http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/412259-hate-the-17sneed-19s

Quoted gloa2000:

"I would only go upto 19s, since EX were designed to have 17s and 18s as an option, stock suspensions were built to carry 2 inches above its standard wheels anything above its standard size will weaken the performance of the suspensions/alignments make sure to get wheel/suspension professionals opinion before you simply add 20s on your car and mess up the suspension and do realignment on all 4 wheels"

Anyone shred me some light on this issue as I am considering changing to 20's

Thanks alot!

The only down side I see is the weight issue. I think as long as you go with relatively light 20s, it shouldn't be a problem. Even with heavy 20s, the only down side you should have would be slower acceleration and worse braking. On the other hand, I agree with the OP that 19s would be better for EX. Plus you have tons of good, light, cheap alternatives with 19s.. Not so much with 20s.

One negative impact with 19s is wishing you would have gone with 20s. You mentioned before that this is your wife's ride so that should be a big factor in your wheel decision. Since my wife drives the FX more, sticking with 20s was the best choice for us.

If you go with 19s, may I suggest 19" M45 wheels. Those would look hot on an EX.

I'm gonna put those on the FX sometime soon and see how our wheels look on the M. Can you say tucked? I hope offsets don't mess it up.
