I RECENTLY BOUGTH MY 2003 FX35, WHAT A RIDE. IM VERY PLEASED WITH IT. BEST CAR I HAD SO FAR.
HOWEVER I STARTED NOTICING SOME TYPE OF KNOCKING OR TICKING SOUND :cry: WHILE THE CAR IS IN DRIVE OR REVERSE. THERES NO SOUND WHEN I SWITCH TO NEUTRAL OR PUT IT IN PARK.
I CAN HEAR THE KNOCKING WHILE STOPED AT A RED LIGHT OR A STOP SIGN NOT WHILE ACCELERATING.
CAN YOU GUYS HELP, MAYBE SOMEONE KNOWS WHAT THAT MIGHT BE?????? THE TRANNIE SHIFTS SMOOTH WITH NO PROBLEMS.

PLEASE GUYS IF U CAN HELP ME OUT HIT ME UP.
 
I'.m not sure but that sounds like an ignition coil loose. when you pull a spark plug wire you can hear the plug fire with a clicking/ticking sound. pull your engine cover off and check your conections. if something isn't detonating you get knock. look at that first and see, but that is the first thing that comes to mind.
 
Cool man I'll check it out. I thought its the tranny while its only knocking while in drive or reverse but I'll definately look into the cables. THANKS.
 
hey ... Well checked the spark plug cables not that !!! I will chcesk the muffler next and see what happens.
