Need help with TPMS reset

Hi,

I have recently purchased a new set of summer wheels mounted with tires & TPMS sensors.

After a lot of reading online, I've read I need to make my car learn these new sensors however I can't figure out how to do this myself.

I've read the paperclip trick however it seems as though the connector is no longer present on 2011+ models (I have a 2014). I have dug under my dash and can confirm it's no longer there.

Can anyone advise as to how to reset the TPMS sensors on new wheels without going to a shop?

Thank you!

I tried the paperclip trick as well. It was very hard to find the connector but I eventually found it taped to a wire bundle. However, I could not get it to work. I ended up going to a local tire shop and they did the relearn. It took about 5 minutes.

Thanks for the reply. What year/model was your car? I even removed the under dash panel and put the tape around all the bundles and could not find the connector. I could only find a 2-wire connector that does not match the pictures online.

Mine is an 09 FX50. It was tucked behind the metal bar just to the right of the connector with the multi-color wires, Taped inside the wire bundle. I had to feel alond the bundle till I felt the bump of the connector. It was totally wrapped up.TPMS Connector 3.jpg

I think that explains the difference. From what I read online, anything 2011+ no longer has the cable. I spent a good 2h feeling, cutting and removing and still no wire.

I have a question about TPMS sensors

I bought a set of 21's off a fellow member on here. I went to infiniti to have them reprogram the sensors and they told me it will not work because the part number on the sensors don't match up with my car?

I have a 2012 and the set of rims i bought were off a 15 or 16. Is that true that the part number for the sensors are different and cannot be programmed?
