need help with car stereo!

hey guys i just got a system put in my 09 fx35, and i kept my original navi unit , so output to my system isnt very good, and i was told i would need a JL summing device and a JL cleansweep installed to help make my system sound better. My question is do i need both of these things? and if so do i have to use a summin device with the Cleansweep or can i go a different route?

p.s. the installer told me that because of the headunits we have unless i get both the summing and cleansweep i will never be able to produce the full range of sound to make my system sound good, because the stock headunit does not put out the right frequency or something.
 
What did you install? Speakers? Subs? Amps? EQ? XO?

We have 2Ohm speakers stock, so if you installed 4Ohm speakers, then the resistance would be less, resulting in less volume.

To help you out, we need to know what you installed. TurboCad would be an expert at at this type of question.
 
you'll be fine with just the cleansweep. I have all infinity kappa speakers and 2 polk subs, all with the stock headunit. All I need is the cleansweep and itll sound 100 times better.
