NavTV / NavTool Questions & advice....

Ok so i know there are tons of threads on the whole navtv unit. Most info i found was over a couple years old so i am looking for some updates. I also couldnt really find a DIY or very many pictures of anyone from the forum doing the install.

I have an 06 FX35 with Tech & rear dvd.

From what i understand i can get the navtv unit and its plug and play except for the ground and 12v wire.

First: ive read through the instructions but some say that the navtv harness gets plugged in behind the nav screen and others say to plug it in behind the actual nav unit (unless they mean the same thing) - so does the harness get plugged in at the nav dvd drive under the seat or behind the nav screen in the center console?

Next- Since i already have the rear dvd player in the console - how do i tap into that dvd player to connect it to the navtv unit? On the unit for video 1 its the yellow RCA hookup which threw my off on how to connect that part.

My goal is to play dvd video from my rear dvd player on the front nav screen. Currently i have my iphone hookedup through the RCA inputs on the rear dvd palyer and it will play sound through the car and also will play youtube or videos on the rear screen.

This is one of the threads i referenced for some help but still had some of these questions : https://www.infinitiscene.com/search/1/?q=2238-nav-tv-help/

Module fits behind the screen. The harnesses plug inline w/ the factory harnesses. Not sure on the OEM DVD unit since I don't have that. But does it have a video output? If it does, that should go directly into the NavTV.

Thats the part im stuck on is actually hooking the rear dvd to the navtv unit and i cant seem to find any info on it, so im hoping someone with rear dvd has installed a unit and can point me in the right directions...

You should invest in the MediaBridge from DICE. This will eliminate you from the DVD. Because with the MediaBridge and the NavTv together you can Netflixs YouTube and or watch stored movies from iPhone. I went and bought a 160GB iPod just for more space for video and to harness all my song in my iTunes Library.

There is a thread on MediaBridge on the org and one guy successfully mated both NavTv and MB. How he did it beats me I'm in the process of figuring it out. If you do let me know.

Oh, you might want ask la_fx35 if he selling the spare MB device.
