My Infiniti Got a Whole New Vibe! CarAktis Ambient Lights Installed

Hey guys,

Just wanted to give a quick update — finally got the CarAktis ambient light kit installed on my Q50 this weekend! Took me pretty much the whole day, mostly ‘cause I was being extra careful with the trim panels and wiring (don’t wanna hear any rattles later ).

Honestly though, it went way smoother than I expected. The instructions were super clear — step-by-step photos, wiring diagrams, and every harness labeled. Pretty much plug-and-play, zero guesswork.

Some pics of the final setup :

Nighttime in the cabin is unreal — subtle and classy during the day, but at night? Total transformation. My favorite part has gotta be the door trim lights — looks like OEM, but adds that perfect touch of modern tech. Sitting in the car now feels like hopping into a spaceship

A few tips if you’re thinking about doing this yourself:

  • Take your time with the trim panels — plastic pry tools are a must.

  • Before you install, lay out the wiring on the floor following the CarAktis diagram — saves a lot of headaches.

  • I tapped power from the fuse box (ACC), so lights turn on/off with the car.

  • Don’t skip the app — changing colors, brightness, and the music sync mode is actually fun
Honestly, this upgrade gave my old Infiniti a whole new life. Night driving feels completely different now, and it just looks amazing. If you’re even a little on the fence — do it. You won’t regret it.
