My FX isn't beeping at me :(

Hey guys I was wondering how to turn on the lock beeps and unlock beeps for the 2nd gen. Yesterday morning, I noticed that the car didn't beep upon locking it. I was wondering if there was an option to turn it on or off, or if something went wrong. Thanks in advance!
 
If I'm not wrong that is an option you can turn on and off, check your manual

If you're talking about the beep you get when you lock/unlock with your door handles, I'm having the exact same issue. I'll be taking it to the dealer this week. Will post what they tell me.

If you're talking about the horn chirp when locking with remote, that's easy to fix. You press both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote for 10sec. The blinkers will flash letting you know your setting has changed.

Yeah man, you'll find me in the North York, Thornhill, Scarborough parts of town usually.

But yeah this beeping issue (or lack thereof) is killing me on this 09 I just picked up. Seems like same problem as OP.

I'll post what the dealership says once I get it checked.
 
I had this same problem on my '03 for the last month and up to until 5 minutes ago. My problem was described in this similar thread:

My FX stopped chirping when locking/unlocking with the door handle buttons. Thanks to Arturius suggestion of pressing and holding the lock and unlock buttons at the same time, my chirp beep is now audible and back to normal. (I held my button for 3-5 seconds before the horn chirped). There are a few settings in my 1st gen nav screen, but they all continued to show the correct indications,

Just to update this issue.

Upon replacing the battery I found my door chirp was quiet and my clock stopped working. The issue was resolved by replacing a 10 Amp (electrical) fuse in the driver's kick panel.

Glad you got it figured out PMG. The dealer fixed mine for me. There was a "buzzer module" noted on the work order as needing to be replaced but for all I know they just switched out the fuse and called it a day. :)
