Have you two met? This might have been a handy-dandy feature in 2000, but ripping tunes from a CD to a small-hard drive in the car is hardly revolutionary. If I could store movies, transfer MP3 files from DVRs external media, maybe, but come on! This has probably been the only let-down on my 2012 FX35 so far, so I hardly have any right to complain.

Does anyone actually access this thing on a regular basis?
 
I pay for XM or plug my iphone up to it. But yes I use the music box. It doesn't have to be revolutionary since a lot of vehicle manufacturers are using music box hard drives now so you can get rid of your old cd's.
 
I guess we have the music industry to thank for the lack of functionality. You'd think having an on-board accessible hard drive in a car would be an amazing thing.
 
2012 Infiniti don't have a music box and you can thank the music industry for that but you can still stream Pandora via Bluetooth
