Mini-to-RCA A/V Cable vs. Cassette Adapter

The Mini-to-RCA cable will be hands down the better quality. You will get true R/L stereo sound this way.

The cassette adapter relies on converting the electronic sound waves to be transmitted magnetically to your car deck via the tape. You are downconverting the signal and then upconverting it again inside your stereo, so there's a huge loss in quality. There is also a greater possibility for mechanical noise to be introduced into your speakers, such as a hiss or wine.

What phone are you using out of curiosity?
