Metal on Metal noise during acceleration

Im schedule to take my car into the dealer on monday for a few odds and ends i wanted looked at. Today i discovered something new that i plan to add to the laundry list. A metal on metal noise that sounds as if its coming from underneth that sounds like two metal plates rubbing against each other. Consistent only during acceleration during speeds <30mph. I do not hear the sound right away after start up but more so after a few minutes of stop and go. I also cannot hear it at a standstill revving the engine. Its loud enough that its attracting the wrong attention.

Notes: 2005, 31k miles, brakes appear to still have meat on them.

Thoughts??

Have you guy done any work in the engine bay like adding plenum spacer? My previous experience was one of the screw holding the metal bracket for holding the cables at the back of the engine on the driver and passenger side were loose. So the the metal bracket was vibrating and hitting other components in engine bay for noises when you rev the engine.

If it is clicking sound from the engine bay and can be heard from the passenger side. It might be your fuel damper needs to be replaced. There is a TSB on the the infinitifx.org about clicking noise from engine bay.

Well it turns out that my Exhaust shield is bad but they are checking to see if its covered under the warranty. Seems like something that should be but we'll see. I get to keep this 09 G for some more time which is fine with me.

and they did confirm that they will cover the exhaust shield repair along with

1) New driver seat rails
2) New grille (replacing due to peeling)
3) New trim around the windows to replace the faded ones
