Map update DVD

My 2010 NAV has never been updated and is missing many new businesses and roads. The stealership said the DVD is $99 and another $99 to install it (seems like it would be pretty self explanatory to install myself). I see some posts from back in 2011 where it sounded like it wasn't worth it. Does anyone have recent experience with this?

By the way, this is my first post! Just acquired my 2010 FX35 with about 11k miles on it! Lovin' the class and power upgrade from my 2002 VW Passat Wagon!
 
I just did it a couple of months ago, not worth it....on my first four 'places' to go from it the guidance was wrong three of the four times.
