Malbec Black vs. Black Obsidian

Hey fellas, I know color is strictly a personal preference, but the wife and I are exploring some options of leasing an FX50S. I want Moonlight White. She wants Black. Her car, her rules. She wins.
But at least I will pick which black we go with. Does anyone have any opinion or statement as to why not to get one vs the other? I think I am leaning towards Malbec since it seems to have a nice metallic hue to it in the sunlight. Haven't seen either in person though. BTW, this could be entirely premature since I'm not sure if we can even get out of our lease early or if the numbers make sense. Also we will definitely be getting the Java interior. I love that brown! Any insight (or photos) you guys could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

No no nooo keep the limited, I feel you on getting the 50 though lol

I like malbec black the only con about it is that it looks more purple in the sunlight. But during overcast it looks more black.

dont get black obsidian its a pain in the ass color to keep looking nice because it shows every imperfection. Even though the malbec black is dark too, the metallic flake hides imperfections better.

Malbec on Java is beautiful.

The malbec colour is very unique, I saw a G37 the other day in the sunlight and at some angles it was pure black and others it was this striking dark red.

And Java is the nicest interior colour on the 2nd gen period.

Thanks Meme. I agree with you totally. I saw a G37 IPL in the Malbec and it was beautiful. The java is a must. No matter what exterior color we go with we are getting the Java. We've had wheat (on the 2010), now black, and next java. Keeping it clean shouldn't be a problem being that I have OCD and love washing the cars. I think I will start looking into a Malbec/Java FX50S with the sport tech package. May not be immediately but I will keep you guys posted. Thanks for the input!

Like what Aaron said, Black Obsidian while nice looking is a PITA to maintain. All it takes is a light rain and the body looks like it had grown Dalmatian spots overnight.

Haha! Yeah, while Black Obsidian clean must look amazing and almost wet, I may pass on driving a dalmation mobile. ha.
