Driving home from work and notice a knocking noise and the rear end seems very loose. Get in the driveway and see this.

Wow that's crazy, glad you made it home safe but that looks like bad news for Megan.

Glad you're ok. I hope that it is only installation overlook instead of design issue. This arm is the long waited camber solution.

Whoa glad you didn't loose control and have bigger issues!

is the bolt stripped? Who installed it and was proper torque used? Maybe it wasn't torqued enough or too much and stripped the bolt there. Either way, glad nothing serious happened, this can get fixed.

there should be an adapter cone in there, wonder if it was stuck to the old arm and the shop missed it during install ?

Safety Check: To those with this Megan control arm installed should take a closer look at theirs

So, the shop suppose to reuse the adapter cone for the new Megan control arms, correct?

It would need to be reused, that hole is much too large for the end link to go in the hole. same idea as the turbo adapter kits for the brake kits, the 1st gen upper arm was smaller than the 2nd gen and that's why the custom one was needed.

it may have been in there and fell out when the arm came out, but if it was not in there in the 1st place, that could have caused that

Got it, thanks Jeff!

Sorry to bring up an old post. I am in the middle of installing my rear arms and ran into the cone issue. So far I cannot get it off but I will keep trying.

I finally got it off and it fit perfectly on the new ball joint.
