Lowering the FX

Hello Guys,

So i just recently got 22" rims. I wanted to lower my FX. There is a lot of space between the tires and the wheel well. I don't want to lower it too much either because I live in Toronto, gota worry about driving in snow. Also for winter rims I will be using my original 18". What do you guys recommend? Any particular lowering springs? and how low should I make it?

Most on here use the H&R Sport springs or Eibach Pro lowering springs. The Eibachs will give a bit striffer ride but the H&R lower a tad bit more. But the best option but most expensive are coilovers (Megan, BC) which will give you the ability to adjust the ride height which is worth the investment.

coilovers best bang for the buck eventhough that buck is a little on the pricey side but will definitely give your ride a better feel on the road and you can you can adjust for the winter. H&R and eibach are okay but they dont really upgrade the ride because you are using the oem shocks and struts weather brand new or slightly used there okay compared to a set of coilovers.

1000 or less for the coilovers and springs 200 to 300 bucks, not including installation unless you are going to diy, which coilovers will be easier because there is no spring compression involved for removal and install.
