Lowering Springs for an 08' EX35

I just looked up both suspensions & they do look very similar in design to the point that they look the same in parts diagrams... I'd say it's worth a shot to try this...

If I don't like the ride after I change the springs, can I replace the original factory OEM springs and get back to original specs? Or is there no returning to original ride quality after a mod?

turbocad6, thanks for all the help. Which would be a better route to go, buying stock G35 springs or buying, maybe, Eibach G35 Springs?

Since there is not very much info about this mod anywhere, I am venturing into uncharted waters here and I am relying greatly on the advice of all the members of IS.

personally I'd try a cheap stock spring first to confirm fitment... even if it was just one side, then, if that worked, you can judge from there where to go... then it depends also if your doing the labor yourself or paying someone too I guess.

I would NEVER touch a car myself. That would be a bad idea (for the car's sake). This is the reason I joined this forum to get advice from people who have done this before. All the work that will be done to the EX is going to be done by ASAA Racing in Houston, TX. They also have no clue about the parts for an EX, but they are good at modding cars/trucks. All the info you guys give me is information that I store away so when the guys at ASAA Racing talk to me and while I watch them do the mod, I have somewhat of a clue as to what they are talking about.

By the way, I got the wheels that I wanted for my EX and took them to Discount Tires to purchase new tires for my EX and they told me that they WOULD NOT work on a vehicle with spacers on them. They claim that spacers are unsafe and can cause the lug nuts to shear completely off which in turn, the wheel will come off while the vehicle is in motion. Any truth to this? Does the use of spacers affect the safety of the vehicle?

many FX here have spacers as do I. Make sure you get a good brand (H&R or equivalent) for best quality.

I had 15mm spacers on my FX for over a year without any issues before I changed to my current wheels. I used H&R's with the included longer studs.

I called around today and NTB, Goodyear, and Firestone will also not work with a car with spacers. I finally called a PEP Boys and they will not work with a car that has spacers, but they will do work on car that has "hubcentrics". They do not consider these as spacers and will do work on your vehicle if you have this type of spacers.

For hubcentrics they are talking about hubcentric rings, all these do is center the rim when you use aftermarket rims. Since you are using factory rims on the EX they should be hubcentric already.
