I'm looking for suggestions on my bottoming out issue. I have a 2017 QX70 lowered using BC Racing coilovers. I have Megan Racing front and rear camber kit to correct for negative camber, and my issue is each time I go over a dip in the road, or a speed bump, the front upper control arm hits the top of the shock tower. The car is lowered, but not slammed. Can anyone make a suggestion on how to stop the control arm from striking the top of the shock tower?IMG_4099.jpeg IMG_4103.jpeg IMG_4104.jpeg IMG_4107.jpeg IMG_4109.jpeg IMG_4112.jpeg IMG_4114.jpeg IMG_4150.jpeg IMG_4152.jpeg IMG_4099.jpeg IMG_4103.jpeg IMG_4104.jpeg IMG_4107.jpeg IMG_4109.jpeg IMG_4112.jpeg IMG_4114.jpeg IMG_4150.jpeg IMG_4152.jpeg IMG_4099.jpeg IMG_4112.jpeg IMG_4152.jpeg

I recently just installed my Megan upper control arms last weekend, upon installing them I noticed that the original control arms had been hitting the seam on the shock tower and had bent it's slightly. This is usually what hits first as it hangs down from the shock tower about an inch or so. I went ahead and marked the contact points with a marker and trimmed the seam. The upper control arms from Megan are MORE likely to hit compared to the factory as it is thicker along the spot that has the 6 allen fasteners. I also went ahead and raised it a little more than what it originally was as it was too low for a daily. Now my wheel well height from ground to the center of the bottom side of the wheel well is 30 9/16 of an inch. With doing those 2 things I completely got rid of any rubbing or hitting.
I will post pictures of what I had trimmed and about how much in yellow.

Thanks for sharing this. I also have the Megan control arms with H&R Sport springs. I notice a rub or bottom out knock when I go over a deep dip at a faster speed.

I don't have anything helpful to add here but promote your car is what I want my 70s to look like. I have the pic in front of the house as my end goal for my stance. Is this the set up you were running in that pic?
