Looking for black rims 07FX35

Hi,
I'm new here and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I'm looking for black rims for my 07FX 35. I really like the 6 spokes that come on the 09FX50. I've seen a picture online with them and they look sick!
There's a set of 5 spokes from infiniti that I like also. I think they're the 20" (maybe??)

I'm looking for 20 or 21"

I've seen some pics on here with people with black infiniti rims.
Can anyone point me in the right direction where I can find them & order them online?

I looked on tirerack and I can't find anything I really like on there. I don't want something that's too over the top.

Thanks a lot!

Check on Kijiiji toronto, There are OEM 20s on there now. I have see 21s on there but they are much harder to get.
You can get them painted or powder coated black or you can plasti dip them.

Ebay's search is pretty cool. You can search by wheel, then diameter, then bolt pattern. When I was looking for my wheels, I did a search on forged wheels, then selected 20" and then bolt pattern of 5x114.3.

Like mentined already, all the guys you see with black rims had them either powder coated, painted or plasti dipped. They don't come in black

Cool thanks! I tried Kijiji before but didn't see anything. I'll try looking again.

When I tried Ebay, I mostly found parts..but not wheels. Perhaps I didn't use the right parameters. I'll give that a try again.

What's a rough estimate for how much it costs to get them powder coated or painted?

Oh..also..what are "forged wheels"?
I've never purchased wheels before. Are these a different type? Is this something I should be looking for? What's the difference between these and regular rims.
As you can tell...I'm a newbie when it comes to rims.

thanks a lot for the help!

i haven't had mine painted but from what i hear it's around $300 for powder coating. You can also buy plasti dip for $10-15 a can and see how you llike it. If you don't like it you can peel it off. I have seen a few rims plasti dipped and they look good. You can do the plasti dip yourself, it like spray painting

In addition to bolt patern (5x114.3), don't forget about hub bore size if you're buying wheels not made for Infiniti. The FX hub bore is 66.1 mm. If you're buying after market wheels be sure it comes with hub centric ring for proper fitment knowing the size of the hub on the wheel so that you can get the proper size hub centric ring for the FX. Most after market wheels will made such that the is big enough to fit various car; therefore hub centric ring come into play so that the wheel can the specific hub size.

I'm not sure what you mean by too over the top but if you're looking for black wheels I bought these in 22x10.5 a couple of months ago and love them. They are from ConceptOne wheels and are decently priced. I worked with DiscountTire. Whatever you decide on definitely post some pictures up when they are mounted. Happy hunting.

2 ways to make wheels - casting and forging. Casting is they take a mold and pour molten aluminum in, then it cools and you have a wheel. This is the cheapest way to make wheels but it can lead to imperfections/air pockets which can cause structural issues. But this is very unlikely to happen and most wheels are cast, OEM and aftermarket. There are different ways of casting and some are better than others like some use pressure to force the molten aluminum in which leads to more even distribution and a stronger wheel.

Forged wheels are when they take a blank and very high pressure and forge it into the wheel. It takes a few steps and is pretty expensive, so this is the less used method. The advantage is that the wheel is usually much stronger since the pressure of the forging pretty much ensures no imperfections, etc.

Cast wheels are absolutely fine and forged wheels are often just marketing gimmicks. Many forged wheels aren't forged in the traditional sense, stuff like rotary forged is basically a cast wheel that they then run down some rollers under high pressure to strengthen the barrel. It's stronger than cast, but not quite fully forged. And many multi piece wheels like 2-3 piece wheels use forged faces but cast barrels. Stuff like Volk TE-37's, BBS, and others are what people think of when they think of forged wheels, basically racing wheels. Most forged wheels you see on the street aren't up to this level.

And be careful searching on eBay for "forged" wheels. Most of the wheels that show up on the forged section aren't forged, they just put it in the keywords. They also call cast wheels monoblock (then again, so does Vossen) when typically that term is reserved for forged monoblock wheels. There are also blatant lies - I've seen plenty of cast wheels that everyone knows are cast marketed as forged on eBay.

look into rotary forged wheels from companies like tsw or iforged if weight is a consideration. stock 21" is over 40 lbs and a tsw 20" rf is 24 lbs.

Those look siiick!!! 22's huh? Nice!! Very nice indeed.
This is something along the lines of what I was looking for. By 'over the top' I meant rims with like a million spokes, etc....
I just wanted something clean and simple...like this, or even the 6 spoke 21" oem rim in black.
I'm going to check out concept one wheels for sure.

I'm not liking the selections Tire rack for the FX. And I've called around a few places and the 6 spoke 21" is hard to find.
If I don't find anything, I may just give up and put summer tires on my oem 18's, because the longer this takes, means more wear on my winter tires right now. Which isn't a good thing.
Thanks for the help.

Update:
I was able to find 6 spoke 21" AND they will powder coat them black for me. The price I got was $500 each(this includes the black powder coating)
My only problem now, is that I only see 2 tires this size (265/45-21) on tirerack. Either the Bridgestone Dueler H/L (all season) or the Dunlop SP Sport 01 (high performance summer)

Bridgestones are cheaper - but the reviews are pretty bad! A LOT of people complaining about the tires wearing out fast & not being good in the rain
Dunlops are more than what I wanted to spend.

Couple of questions
1. Does anyone have the 21" rims on their ride? If so, what tires are you using and what size?
2. Anyone have any bad experience with the Bridgestone Dueler H/L?
3. Is there any CONS I should worry about with powder coating my rims? (will they fade, paint come off easy, ...etc..??)
Thanks!
