i never had my car at the dealer to be fixed, so im not very familier how the loaner thing works....
with my fx sitting at home for two weeks and not running.
i think its time to send to the dealer and get them running again.

do you have to pay anything extra ?
do you have to be certian age ?
do you need full coverage insurance ?

any info would helpfull to me.
thanks IS.

It really depends on the dealer.

But generally, 25 to rent and full coverage is a good idea in case you hit someone. Your insurance should cover the vehicle is it is rented to you. Although it doesn't hurt to check.

It should be free if you are leaving it for a while.

In my experience the dealer's policy varies. Age restrictions, type of service being done, by appointment only, gas policy, no out of state travel, etc. They will ask to show proof of insurance for sure.

all the times I've had loaners (from both Infiniti and Acura), they were free. your car insurance should cover loaner/rental cars... check your policy. I think they only thing they ask for is that you bring it back with the same amount of gas in the tank.

I've driver a loaner g35 when I was 19 and it was fine. When I went to the nissan dealership there said I had to be 21. I think 22 is fine. They don't ask for your title or anything so I don't think there would be a problem if the car isn't under your name. Basically they will copy your insurance and you sign papers and off you go with the loaner. Loaners usually don't cost anything but it varies.

my inifniti dealer told me the person taking the loaner must be related to the person holding the title. The most they will let it slide is a 1st cousin...

I've been to Sewell and Southwest. Both places just asked for drivers license and proof of insurance. Not sure about age requirement, but they do ask that do bring it back with a certain amount of fuel in it, usually either same as when you got it or 1/4 tank.

I'm not certain, but I dont think full coverage is required. You will be responsible for any damages though.

At southwest, I had to make sure a loaner was available. It should be free. And you have to return it within 24 hours after they let you know your car is ready. After the 24 hours is up, they will charge a "rental" fee.

My service advisor at Southwest is actually the same guy I was going to at Sewell. His name is Phillip Martinez. Good luck man.

My 2003 FX45 is in the shop @ Infiniti of Denver as we speak. I had an issue with the radio not working and they are going to replace it under warranty (just barely)
They flipped me the keys to a 2008 EX35 with out any issues.
I've been cruising it for 3 days now. Not as nice as my FX, but it will do until mine is fixed. They just asked me to bring it back with a quarter tank.
You will need your drivers license and proof of insurance.
Whether or not they offer you one is up to them I think.
Good Luck
J.
