List of parts to change brakes???

im looking to change my brakes soon. and was wondering what i would need to buy other then the rotors and pads( probally going oem depending on price)? Probally will change the brake lines also ( need recommendations for ss braided ones ). any rings or bolts or gaskets should be done while in there?

im reading the service manual and is it really that important to change the piston boot and the retaining ring?

I changed my caliper hardware kit at 85k miles and they were still good. Besides that you can upgrade to ss lines, change the fluid with that blue stuff (forgot the name). But no need to change or rebuilt your brake caliper if nothing is wrong.

Yeah, no need to replace the caliper if it isn't broken. But also remember the grease to put on the pads to help reduce brake noise and also brake cleaner to clean the new rotors. Basic stuff but some people forget.
