UPDATE! 3/22/11

On my way home from work, experienced the car go on 'limp mode'

the car idles so rough, on stop lights i can feel the whole car shaking. (mainly from the engine). also while accelerating the car feels hesitant and won't let me accelerate.

i don't know what's wrong, also the 'service engine soon' light on the dash kept blinking. on idle i tried revving and the car sounds like its about to blow up.

FX is an 06 with 78k miles.

If your ses light comes on and stays on you can get the ecu scanned for codes and find out the cause. If your ses light is blinking pull over and get the vehicle towed in. When the ses light blinks you may do damage to the engine by continuing to run it.

still don't know what it is. but i got it towed at the closest Infiniti dealership but they wont be able to diagnose it until monday because they have a lot of cars to work on today.

service advisor also noticed the bubbling of the dash and he said he will get that done fix as well.

It sounds like a misfire check your spark plugs or it could be the tbs. Have you tapped your maf with a screwdriver or something with the car running to see if it dies

got the FX back today. the cause of misfire was 2 bad ignition coils (2 & 3), dealer replaced under extended warranty.

also they replaced my dash and it looks great! :D

Does your FX overheat? Any warning lights? Did you touch the TB or MAF? If you took the TB out for cleaning, you need to have a new TB gasket. I had the similar problem as yours last time, it was due to air leak because of the bad gasket after I took out the TB for cleaning without replacing the old gasket with a new one.

Hey guys same is happening to me know. Only in my case only when I hit a nice pothole my car just dies out like when I give it gas it won't go. Got to shut of the car and restart it. Then again it will happen. Any idea.

Something jarred loose? Perhaps checking electrical connections will shed light.

Took of the battery keeping it off overnight see what happens. Weird that when I hit a big bump or pothole The vdc slip lights come on and then car goes into limp mode
