Niceeee! Did you have a custom shop paint your black lower molding or a regular paint shop. Every paint shop around where I live say the paint won't stay and they won't guarantee it. Is this true?

Most paint shops won't guarantee the work on plastic like that. It is more flexible and likely to chip/flake. But it doesn't mean that a good shop can't do it correctly, they just may not guarantee it.

If a shop wont guarantee their work they probably are not a very good shop
Places wont paint it because of the texture on these pieces , but if preped correctly it would be no different than any other panel on the car

^ agreed. I am currently painting all of my lower trim on my FX, did this on two previous also and never had one problem with the finish or durability. find a reputable shop.

Maybe it's just around here then. But plenty of very good shops will paint flexible plastic like this, they just won't give the standard lifetime guarantee or whatever it is. They give the same disclaimer with anything plastic or flexible.

Havn't gone to a lot of shops, but a couple guys I talked to regarding painting my lowers said something along these lines.

I don't think the disclaimer is a true indicator of a quality shop. A quality shop could just as easily give the disclaimer and then the paint lasts forever as well as a low-end shop could say if will last forever and it cracks and falls off in a year.
Know your shop, use a good one, and decide if you want to trust their capabilities.

If done right, the shop is supposed to strip old paint, apply the correct primer and paint and oven bake it to the right setting. Not done right, you would experience "spider web" fine cracks if you gets hit or bump into something even with light contact.

If re painted right, the plastic may flex and bend and may have some scuffs at contact but will not crack or flake off.
