Left passenger window acting up!

Hi All,
As I was driving my new used 03 FX45 to work this morning, I noticed a funny with my left side passenger window. Using the drivers window control, I can bring the window all the way closed by gently pulling up on the switch. But if I pull up to use the auto close function, the window goes all the way up, then opens half way. My right side window does not do this. Has anybody seen this strange behavior, and if so what did you do to fix it?

I doubt window is meant to do that. I do not have that problem on my 05 FX45. If I use the auto window up from the drivers controls it goes up and stays up. You may have a possible short in the auto up mechanism.
 
i have the same problem with my driver side window. I had it reset by the dealer and it was fine for a few months. It started doing it again, but i think it has a lot to do with the way you close your door. If you slam your door or let it slam, it knocks the sensor out of place. I think the whole window coming back down is a safety feature. I might be wrong, but I do know that it has a lot to do with how you close your doors (one thing I have learned about the FX is that she can be very sensitive, depending on how you treat her). I know in your case you just bought it, but for me it will sometime do it and sometimes it won't.
I would recommend the dealer resetting it for you, first. Then if that fails I would replace the sensor.
