LED Fog light replacements

Hey Guys, I wanted your opinion on what you think of converting the fog lights over to LEDs.

I was originally going to upgrade them to HID but the problem I have is that my DTRl's are my foglights. So that means I will have the HIDs running all the time.

Since the fogs don't give a crazy amount of light, i could avoid having to create a module to separate the DTRL function to an alternate light like the VLED Triton's in my turn signals, and have the fogs converted to LED just like the ones in the link below:

Looks good, are those made particularity for the FX or are they universal? I like the fact it has a projector.

Looks pretty slick. I like the all black look. What do they mean by projector lens novel design..?

Apparently a few Nissans and Infinitis share the same foglight design like the 2nd gen FX, these are apparently direct bolt on, so you would unbolt your existing ones and bolt these in, plug n play and voila.

I was thinking of getting a set of BMW X5 or X6 LED foglights and modifying them to mount. I would prefer these since the LEDs are from Philips unlike the ones above can be of lower quality. Would hate to spend a fortune to see them die after.

I think when they use google translator or something else, novel is the word that's translated from their native "slang". If I look at synonyms for "novel", it means gives "character" and "action". So I'm guessing with these you'll have an edge on looks :)

Call me stupid or crazy but I'm not all gaga over the design, the upper/lower strip seems like it's just stuck in there. I like the rectangular look of the light in the oval enclosure but not those two strips.

I agree, I like the lens inside but those two strips are...well kinda useless for the size of the foglights overall. I mean if their idea was to use those as DTRLs...its far from being useful. Other than that I think they're pretty good.

The power of these LEDs won't be as great as HIDs but for the hassle-free install and knowing I have a pair of CBI's in the headlights, I'm not sure a set of HIDs in the fogs would attribute to a lot of gain..I could be wrong, I haven't had a chance to see the effects of HIDs in the fogs yet..

Seeing as BMW has gone away from using bulbs and is now using LEDs in their fogs, I guess its more of a "look" and DTRL rather than anything..plus when's the last time we had "fog"

I have been messaging with the seller back and forth and he mentions the lens is plastic. Our OEM ones are glass. What do you guys think? Will it be strong enough or should I need to put that clear 3M paint protection over them?

I put fogs from Altima in mine, also glass, but haven't really bothered with putting any protective film over them, so far they are fine. I think you should be okay, unless you're off roading :)

I finished installing mine love them

That looks siiick! Matches the headlights and looks more powerful based on the light output on the floor.
