Kinetix NEW Velocity Manifold - SSV replacement

Its not that new, but anyways that manifold is engineered for FI applications and is extremely unnecessary for NA. + wont see the gains that you'd want to for $750

Opps, i did a search and didnt see it on here, i have no intension of getting anyways.

Ya like i said no where near worth the price, I went with the Kinetix racing upper plenum which has been very nice. Does the same thing as a plenum spacer, but replaces the entire upper plenum. It also dissipates heat very well with its composite material. Gives the engine bay a nice look too.

Are you suggesting that these threads be combined? There really isn't any info in the link that the OP doesn't already know (price and claimed gains). Has no one tried this thing yet? Anyone know if the G/Z dudes have tried it?

Also, I don't agree with the idea that this plenum "does the same thing as the spacer", as many people claim. The plenum spacers add internal volume to the plenum in the easiest/cheapest manner possible, much like the TB spacer. The angled plenum spacer (I forgot who makes it) is the closest a spacer has come to actually addressing the DE plenum's shortcomings, (internal volume, shape, and material) but it's still a far cry from a well designed aftermarket plenum like both Cosworth versions, the Kinetix Racing plenum, and possibly this one.

I'd like to hear about the $750 value of this plenum from someone who has actually used it...

Who said that this plenum does the same thing as a spacer? This is hard to compare to any of those u mentioned b/c it replaces both the upper and lower plenum.

That was a mistake on my part. I meant to say that I disagree with the idea that an aftermarket upper plenum does the same thing as a spacer. Obviously this one and the Cosworth full plenum are in a league of their own in terms of comparisons.

In response to his post that I quoted about not doing a search. That is the thread he should have found if a search was done well.

over at 350z motoring, i know someone did, and he told us later on he didn't feel anything major on a stock engine. he said he probably gained some hp which the dyno would totally not measure, just like an air intake would.

is the whole point of this and the spacer is to deal with the amount of heat generated which in turn would prevent some hp loss?

No. The point of this plenum is intake tuning. The point of the plenum spacer is to increase internal plenum volume. There is a spacer that addresses the heat soak issue, but it's a secondary goal to increasing the volume.
