JWT Turbos RIP

Tough deal on the turbo blow out! Sounds to me like either the install or faulty part(s) did not provide proper cooling or lube. Seals or bearings at all related to oil seepage problems can add a lot of excess heat. Low oil, for whatever leakage reasons, seem like the culprit. Well lubed or not, excess heat on ANY turbo will lead to a quick failure.
 
IMO I'd say most likely cause was inadequate oil feed to the turbos. Lack of oil or feed inconsistency will dramatically reduce the lifetime of a turbo. Seen it a handful of times on turbo Integra's and civics, although they typically come with their own set of oiling issues. Improper flow will create excess heat stress and could lead to cracking or just overall turbo failure...

Sorry to hear though man. Maybe your entrepreneurial spirit will bring you some good business in the near future and you can go back to FI :) Good luck with your business. I know how it can be as I run a couple small businesses on the side from my daily job.
