Just bought 2005 Infiniti FX35!

Hey all,

Just bought a 2005 fx35 and I absolutely love it so far! I just stumbled accross this website and didn't know there was a club like this for just infiniti owners, pretty awesome. Its got every option from the factory with exception of AWD and tow package....so fully loaded with backup cam, nav, rear dvd, intelligent key, 20 inch chrome, and the list goes on...please feel free to hit me up with any helpful hints on anything....

The only thing that I have found as a flaw so far is that from a cold start the drive belts are a bit noisy until it warms up, any suggestions?

Welcome to IS! You will find this site to be very informative, members here are friendly and helpful and IS is just plain awesome. Start saving up money to spend on mods for your new car!

My belts are a little noisy too. My belts are starting to crack and need to be replaced soon, so you should start by inspecting them.

Welcome and congrats on the fx. Definitely have the belts replaced. You can find A DIY for this in the DIY section of the forum if your inclined to do your own maintenance or take it your local mechanic to have it done.
 
yeah, unless they check out to be excessively loose then probably best to just replace them, check the radiator and heater hoses while your under there too. welcome & congrats on the new ride :)
 
Welcome to the scene. Mine squeaks for like 2 seconds on cold start. change yours so you can keep track of it's lifetime.
