Hey all, finally signing on here, no more lurking. We bought our Graphite Sport FX35 new in 2005 (along with a Premium Sport G35) and drove them off the showroom floor together. It's been a fantastic ride and I've made a few minor mods over the years. We claybar and covered our clearcoats once a year with Zaino (been using that since the 90'swith my '94 Q45) and to this day our car finishes still look unbelievably brand new. I highly recommend that product. I added a Stillen strut tower brace and H&R Spacers and can't say enough about the handling improvement, no alignment issues and a one of a kind stance. I'm running on Toyo proxes as I have always loved that aggressive tread. I'm not lowered and that runs counter to a lot of taste here but I like what I have, how it looks and how it drives.
We've experienced a lot of the same nagging issues (door actuators, bubbling dash, crankshaft and camshaft sensors malfunctions to name a few) as you may have and this forum has been a great resource in fixing them. I do all of my maintenance although I finally broke down and had the dealer install a new throttle body 2 years ago and that brought me back to spec. With 179k on the odometer it still drives like a dream and I can get 22-24 mpg on the highway if I am driving slow. We are still waiting for the 2nd recall letter regarding the airbags so If anybody has an update on this website I'll be watching.
This forum has been a huge resource , thanks to those of you who have added valuable posts.
