Jack Stands Points

I realize the jack stand points have pinch welds and looks like there was supposed to be jack stand adapters available to accommodate the pinch welds, but it appears like they were never made.

Last time I did my oil change, I placed my jack stand directly over the pinch weld and I think I bent the weld.

For those of you guys that are using jack stands, how are you placing the stands without breaking the welds at jack points?

ive been using the pads just inboard of the jack points. i dont know if thats good or not but it works

Here's the manual from an 05. Looks like adapter blocks are needed for jack stands, but would have to be modded to fit whatever stand you happen to have.

The four circles below are pointing to an area on the frame that is bulged, or slightly lower than the rest of the rail. That's where I have been lifting. The stands go along the rail as close to that point as possible.
