for the long haul? mean...how long will you have your FX for?

My intensions are to keep this vehicle for a long time. Maybe add a nice sports car to the mix or maybe just a nice likkle beater. But the FX is for the long haul.

Mine has almost been 3 years. The longest I've ever kept a car and considering the previous ones were BMW and Merc coupes, it's a significant thing for me as well.. I wish to keep it at least 1.5-2 years more but will see how I will end up. The dream now is to get an 09 FX50 or 09 FX35 while keeping mine and modding 09 one to get rid of the fugly looks a little..

I've wondered the same thing about many here, I mean it seems that a lot of guys bought there fx's new, & in my experience, people that can afford to & decide to buy a brand new car are usually the same kinds of people that once a car hits the 4-5 year mark there ready to get another new car...

I have my fx for about a year, slightly more... I think I'm going to keep her for another 2-3 years at least... can't really say that she's a 100% keeper yet, but only way I'd get rid of her would be for another fx at this point, I would def want to buy an fx50 when they come 3 years old or so... if I can keep the old one & get the new one too then who knows, maybe... but then what happens is I'll be so in love with the new one that I may not even want the old one either at that point... then there's always the chance that I wind up modding my fx so much that I wind up having to just keep her forever too, so, hard to really say....

I just think that once one invest so much money in a car as most of the guys/girls do here(IS).. its just a lost to sell it.. whoever is buying it wont give you the price the car is worth and wont appreciated everything you did to it.. as an now My FX is bone stock.. but if i beging moding it.. it'll def be MY car.. later on the future i might get another FX just like turbocad said.. but just to remember good old times i would always have the old one...

I'm in for the long run. This is the longest I have kept a car and I really like it. Think I'll just keep it and add an M after.

The love affair hasnt ended yet. 3 years gone by, & I still look forward to getting into it. Got a compliment this morning, & pretty much every other day . . so, still pretty fresh

Love mine even more than the day I bought it and it's paid for... so all I need to do is put gas in it and insurance, so... :dontknow:

yeah, it's a for the "long haul" for me

My heart tells me yes. I love it. History tells me not a chance in hell. I have bought 9 new cars in the past 4 years. My wife said she will divorce me if I flip another car in the next 12 months. She said "flip" so I guess that means I can just keep adding to them though.

FX stays. It's the perfect do-it-all vehicle imho. I expect this to be my longest ownership experience. I'm shooting for a full 3 years if I can.

i would like to keep mine long enough to throw a JWT TT kit on it. and well, that could be many years. thats why im glad i have a later model year so i can keep it longer. i would to always keep the FX, but maybe have other cars.

I like to think so but I get bored easily. Luckily, there is currently no other car I would rather have besides an FX50. That might come a few years down the road.

Unless I hit financial hardships, I do not foresee myself keeping any car longer than 5-6 years.

I highly doubt I'll be keeping it for more than 3 more months. I've only had it for about 3...

Currently looking to sell it.
Great car and all, but I need something a bit smaller.

I had my Pathfinder for seven years. I plan on keeping the FX for at least that long if not longer.

my family usually keep our cars until there really is a need to change.... we had our minivan for as long as we have been in america.....more than 14 years....we had our old sentra for 7 years and we didnt even like that car bc the seating positions were horrible and cramped....and we traded that in for a 07 sentra which had a much more spacious interior..... had our frontier for 7 years and traded it for the murano only because it was becoming of an inconvienance and impractical being such a big vehicle with so little passenger room and we didnt even haul anything with it because I would get so paranoid and upset everytime my dad took it to home depot that he'd just end up taking the minivan....i do miss kicking the rear out in the rain every so often....if i could have it my way we'd have both the truck and the murano and the truck would get modded hahaha....

shortest i had a car was my 1986 toyota cressida which caught on fire after i had it for almost a year.... i loved it...and it was same age as me... RIP.... i hope to buy another one to fix up later in life if I can still find one....

I can keep mine for a long time to come without the mileage getting very high, and since it's garage kept It'll be in perfect condition too. Mine will be with me for a long time. It's perfect for me and I love it.

I'd love to keep mine after the lease is up but it depends on what the status of my job after January. If I have to give my pumpkin back, the next ride will still be an FX but maybe an older model .. I found a red one on cars.com for about $15,000.
