Hi

This might be a another stupid question.
I am new here and looking for a better ride on my FX.
So please forgive me.

I bought a 2008 FX35 with 20' stock tire last year and found the ride on FX is so stiff.
On the bumpy road I feel like I am riding a horse.
However when I ride it with full house I found the ride is firmer and more comfortable.
Is it because of extra weight lowered body and it give me the better ride?
Is that the reason you guys change the spring and lower the body?

One of the first mods I ran on my FX was H&R springs, they made a noticable difference in the ride quality, still firm but it just felt better - better control in corners, better planted in general. Something to consider is the type of tire you are running and the pressure in the tires, both factors can make a huge difference in the ride. Are you running the stock tires?

I think it's safe to say the #1 reason for the aftermarket springs is for looks. The FX just looks a LOT better lowered, even with stock wheels.

However, the earlier FXs like the 03's were even MORE stiffer!

You will, or should get a better ride with H&R springs... and a nice little bonus is a sportier look :tup:
 
FX will always be a little on the nervous side in stock or with springs. It demands an attentive driver. Springs will improve the ride & reduce any and all bounce. Change the springs, get new rubber (not GY RSA's) & you'll be good to go.
Eibachs are great, some like H&R.

I am still running stock tires and thinking about changing those to Hankook or Yoko.
If the spring do the good part for the better ride, I want to do the job at the same time. Since I am living in Abu Dhabi, some of you might never heard of it, my options are very limited though.

Do springs and struts/shocks at the same time. My combo is H&R and KYB GR2 (Excel) struts/shocks.

Some prefer H&R, some Eibach. Eiback is lower, H&R has progressive rates. Some Eibachs have failed (far and few inbetween though).
