Is this possible for the FX?

@ bleedingsujit, i'm starting to see that from this post, :eek.:. anyway I can see why you guys would be against a step bar. I wasn't actually looking to add a step bar. looking back I can say this pic might have not been a good depiction of what I was trying to do. What I actually wanted was to know if it would be possible to add a flare to the bottom moldings on the sides (have it push out a little, but not as much as in the pic) where it would look like it was running smoothly with the body (also with the chrome accent). I was looking for something more for aesthetics rather than functionality.

I notice that a couple members painted the plastic molding, I was just trying to see if there was anything different that could be done.

understood aint nothing wrong with being a little different, personally it is all about the mounting points if you can utilize what is under the fx but most of us like there current ride height and the rest want to be as low as possible with out anything messing it up, I think right now the lowest point of the vehicle that seems to be causing some issues is the gt spec rear brace in the rear, I have scraped mines a couple of times but that is it I rather have it there because it protects the down pipe. I say go for it and try it out, there was one member that had a bull bar and it was different but some people liked it, as long as u like it, that is all that matters.

I think you're combinig two different principles - and that's okay. As you vision develops, you'll need to split one of two directions. A step bar is attached to the frame. Side flares are generally part of the body panels.
Take a good look at the widebody applications (Humberto's or Rookie's for instance). The side is flared out to flow with the flared front and rear fenders.
Is this kinda what you're looking for?
