Is my CD changer screwed?

Hi all, today my cd changer wont play any of the cds with the words saying "Check cds" on the monitor...used a cd lense cleaner a few month ago when some cds started to skip a little...now it wont play anything and there is a constant clicking sound coming from inside the unit...heard from someone that our cd changers have a life span from anywhere from 6 to 9 years.....So i guess my time is up....also heard that when u hear the clicking sound that something is jammed inside...What do u guys think? Replace or fix? They arent cheap btw....any suggestions or help would be awesome...tks IS family
 
Mine crapped out a couple of years ago. It would play on occasion, but would do a lot of what you mentioned. Never bothered fixing or replacing since I just plug in my iPhone now.
