Hey guys, anyone here have invidia Gemini exhaust on there fx45? my exhaust pipe rest just above the rear sway bar on the passenger side and everytime the car hits a bump I get annoying rattle noise. we tried aligning the exhaust but it already pushed up as much as we can get it. any ideas? Thanks

First get under it on the rack and really move it around, find the touch points, then: 1. Check heat shields and make sure they are bent out of the way. 2. Make sure brackets are moved up in the highets position next to sway bar. 3. Use washers to push OE center point brace (flat cut steel black with wavy edges).

both steps 2 and 3 I don't understand. should I not leave the rubber brackets in the same spot? how else could I adjust? don't understand what you mean by using washers.

You have to get it on a lift (or tall stands) to best determine contact points. Once up you will see what I mean (regarding the rubber hangers you can use stiffer brackets, shorter brackets) There are a few of us that have dealt with fitment issues on the Invidia as well as other after market systems. You don't have to be too creative but seeing clearly what the issue is will lead you to the best possible fix.

^ are you suggesting a third hanger? This was/is a design flaw that can be resolved by adding a third center bracket. The OE setup had it, Invidia dropped it. With no center support there is too much weight in the middle and the single bracket before the muffler may break free from the pipe (it did on mine).

^ yeah I had another bracket welded so that I have 3 now where the muffler goes by the rear passenger wheel area. The O E M design on the factory muffler has 3 hangers invidia only has 2

On mine, I had the muffler lifted with another hanger since the Invidia doesn't have one there while the OEM does. This was done to clear the GT Spec lower bar, but it helped to clear the factory bracket as well. Also, they had to use washers on the brace that sits under the pipe. Cant' remember the name, but when you look under the car, it's obvious. I don't have a ton of clearance, but mine never hits.

No, there's a bracket that fits under the exhaust. It's flat. My mid pipes touched there. So to get more clearance, you can put washers on it. My exhaust also didn't clear the GT Spec brace so they used a 3rd hanger on the passenger side of the muffler to bring it up. That cleared the brace. I didn't have issues with the sway bar. But if you have a 3rd hanger welded on, it should clear the sway bar. There is a hanger there on the OEM setup, Invidia doesn't use it. Look under the passenger side of your car and you'll see an unused exhaust hanger.
