Interior LED Lighting Strip - What I Did

Sorry, I'm such a newbie I can't post pics yet. To get a better distribution of light for the interior, instead of getting two really bright single wedge based light LED bulbs, I used two 15 LED strips wired to wedge base adapters I obtained from BrightLEDs.com to replace my two front footwell lights. Double sided 3M tape along with the adhesive strips already on the LED strips keeps them in position. I used small wire ties and 1/2" wire tie mounts to secure and route the wires. I used a dremel tool to notch a small hole to allow me to put the diffusers back into position. One item of note I found during the process was if I had the polarity wrong it would trip, not blow, the fuse. Stated otherwise, I got one side working and initially couldn't figure out why every time I tried to hook up the other side the side I had working would go out until I pulled and replaced the fuse. Again...the fuse didn't blow. Once I caught on after a couple of tries and got the polarity right on both sides everything worked out fine. An alternative for a wedge base adapter can be found at autoillumination dot com under connectors. (Don't think I can post links yet either). I used blue LEDs and the result is a subtle glow at night while driving that doubles in brightness when the doors are initially opened and when the engine is shut off. Worked for me.

If I understand the rules of the site correctly, I'm still a couple of postings short of being able to post either a pic or an URL, but I will as soon as I'm able.
