Interior electronics not working

Hey guys,

Yesterday i was going through all settings on the dash screen and went through all various settings found there.
I noticed that the option to back up the seat and lift the steering wheel were on, interior light are also on but none of it works?
The seats do work when adjusting manually in all directions, only the puddle lights come on when unlocking or opening the door, none of the other lights will come on.
I tried the map lights manually but also doesn't work.

I suspect a blown fuse for the interior light which i will try to find today, but for the seats i am confused as they do work, just not according the screen settings.

Anybody any idea what this can be or seen this before?

Edit:

Checked all fuses i could find but all of them are ok, did find a few empty slots in the driver footwell but on the layout it doesn't indicate there should be a fuse.
The light in the boot does work, was switched off but the map lights, foot well lights and above the rear seat don't work at all, pulled a bulb and checked it but found ok.

May just be an electrical gremlin somewhere in there. IF you checked all the fuses/bulbs/ etc not sure what else you could do besides taking it all apart and checking if the wiring is receiving any power w/ a voltmeter

I was at first suspecting the BCM being faulty, as the car had a empty battery after standing still 4 weeks at the airport parking.
After that i noticed it but can not recall that it was like that before.
But now, as the puddle lights, boot light and all other stuff does work it can't be the BCM as almost everything would not work in that case.
And i do remember that the seat retract and steering wheel lift did not work at the time i bought it as we tried to get the settings correct and they were found on at the time.
So a big chance the interior light never worked either since i own it.

I checked the voltage on a map light socket and did measure something like 0.2 - 0.3 volts
The do look like stock bulbs to me, no LED or something in there.
I did the procedure for automatically switching on the lights under the mirror (welcome lights?), the car did give me the sound of receiving the command to put them on but they will not illuminate.
I also had the battery taken out for around 15 minutes to check the fuse box behind it, which doesn't contain any fuses but a bunch of wires instead.
Even then, according the layout on the cover it does not contain anything related to the interior.

I am running out of options here, it's not a big deal but i guess you can understand i want everything to work as it should.

I have followed the fault finding procedure as per manual for the TICM (Total Illumination Control Module) and it has 12 volt supply.
Everything is there, it's just not giving a power supply to the lights as there is no voltage on the bulb socket at any give time.
Another thing is that the BCM does have a power save mode that will cut off all interior lamps to prevent battery drainage, maybe this is active all the time for some reason?
The puddle lights and the lights in de back do work but these are not controlled by any of these modules and do work.
I also tried to set the seat memory and the auto seat retract and steering wheel lift, the seat memory does show confirmation that it is on, the seat memory is set but nothing will move.

Later on i read that it is possible to switch this illumination control off completely through CONSULT 3.
yesterday i order Osiris Standard from Uprev, as this comes with Cipher as well which can be used on any Nissan/Infiniti (not locked to 1 ecu as the Osiris does, which will be for use of my 350Z)
Now i am thinking does Cipher do the same functionalities as Consult because i am hoping to get into the TICM through that and see what all settings are.

Anybody here has some experience with Cipher?

Gents,

Just noticed, is the lamp under the mirror (welcome light) red coloured and not really bright? lol

My software package will arrive at the end of next week so i will leave it as it is for now.

Thing i did notice is that when approaching the car (in the evening) is that the welcome lights under the mirror light up, be it a red color and very weak.
After some research i realise there is a LED in there, so if it does illuminate on a very low voltage the color will change to red.
That voltage apparently is not enough to illuminate the map lamps or any other interior lamp, the Total Illumination Control Module does get 3 12 Volt signals (1 direct and 2 through ignition switch).
But to me there is a very weak voltage coming out going to the lamps.

If someone can confirm that the welcome lights/puddle lights under the mirror should be bright white/yellow and that there should be a illuminated ring around the ignition switch i know almost for sure the TICM is faulty.
In the schematics i see there are 3 "groups" of power supply coming from the TICM, and only 1 is working for the center console with the clock etc.
The other 2 groups most likely are not getting enough voltage to illuminate, maybe due to some sort of voltage regulator in the TICM.

Anybody ever worked with Cipher on an 2nd gen FX?
It works as it should, although when i check in the BCM functions, where you can manually open/close windows, operate window wipers etc. that most of the options are greyed out and not possible to operate.
I checked same on my '07 350Z and even there i have more available options, i know it depends on the model but as the FX is newer and has more electronics there should be more options.

Unless these options are greyed out because of a fault/error.

Guess my next step is to find a local garage with Consult 3 and see what is going on.

Hi!

what ended up being the fix? I had similar issues and I know its the TICM but im on my 3rd TICM and they all seem to be faulty in one way or another.
